This was difficult to set up. It is not clear how to set the DNS settings so after many tries we managed to slog through and get it right. However . . . If you need to cancel this service for a client, SMTP.com will ask you why. So you type out the reasons why. Then they will ask you if you want a 10% discount to stay like they never never read all the info you just gave them, not if you reconsider we could offer you. . . . When you say thank you but no we need to cancel. They then come back with the 30 day policy which doesn’t mean that it’s 30 days from the day you write asking to cancel so you might get one more invoice; NO, it’s 30 days from the invoice that you haven’t received yet. So it’s more like a 7 week cancellation process (In our case), thus two more monthly payments. In the end after trying to be super nice and complementary about the service they weren’t very nice. There are other SMTP services out there that are easier to use and have great support. Also if your host truncates the number of e-mails you can send an hour it might take a very long time to get a lot of e-mails sent out. We had to set it to 50 e-mails an hour. If you are sending high volume and need it to be in a timely manner and have a host that puts a check valve on the number of e-mails you can send out . . . you might want to consider an alternative. And on exit we felt screwed.
