3 questions: centering menu, changing link color & having a non-tiled background
3 things that I cannot see possible using the theme options/settings:
1. Is there any way to centre the menu underneath the header rather than always being aligned left?
2. Is it possible to change the link color to something else? At the moment it appears to be green on my website, and very hard to distinguish from normal text.
3. Is it possible to specify a background not to be tiled? (e.g. like an image that stretches)
Sorry, one more question!
The comments box on my website says
“17 responsesso far”
it should say
“17 responses so far”
it looks as though I can’t correct this myself through the backend. Maybe a glitch in the theme?
When one of the support team reply, if any custom css is required (for the menu bar centring and link colouring), I would greatly appreciate it if they could include it here.
Found my answer to question 1 about centring the menu:
If I was to do what you suggested, it would be overwritten every time the theme is updated. green.css overrides the custom css option as well, so that’s not an option either.
Are you using a Child Theme or Custom CSS plugin?
I was referring to the custom css styling in the theme options that comes with colorway
if i may be so cheeky to ask, I have had a look at your website and it’s fantastic
i am trying to do something similar as you have under the packages section where you have the drop down with categories
i am not that computer savy – is it simple to do and would you mind pointing me in the right direction of where to find how to do it or advise me how to do it, i have had a look at forum and also forum on inkthemes but was not able to work it out
if too difficult, fully understand and thank you for any guidance 🙂
Thanks for your kind feedback!
For the sub menu options, in the dashboard, go to appearance->menus
From there you can add Pages or Categories to the menu and make them sub-items of the main item by dragging them to a position beneath the main item and indented to the right under it.
Here is a screenshot of how we set up ours: http://goo.gl/VHCSJ
If you want the main toolbar menu item to be non-clickable, make the top item a ‘Custom Link’ from the box on the left. Use a single hash mark (#) for the URL.
Hope that answers your question, if you want any more help, feel free to get in touch.
thank you so much for taking the time to help me out.
i will have a go at your instructions and see what i can achieve 🙂
much appreciated, michelle
hi jb, followed your advice, that was ok, but my subpages won’t appear as drop downs, any suggestions please?
