I haven’t seen 7.4 pose significant problems over 7.3 with 2FA and we have many customers running a 7.4 PHP configuration without issue. There could be another plugin or part of your theme causing a conflict with 2FA that becomes apparent with the version change.
Try switching to PHP version 7.4 and selecting a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One and seeing if 2FA works. If that doesn’t do the trick, try disabling all plugins except for Wordfence, and if 2FA works under these circumstances then reenable your plugins one-by-one until you can replicate the problem. If you find an issue with your theme or another plugin during this time you may have to see if they are aware of problems through their support channels.
If trying to troubleshoot your theme and plugins doesn’t fix the issue, you could send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.
