i can not upload my theme due to errors: class-tgm-plugin-activation.php. Themes should use add_theme_page() – the plugin is built as is and I can not alter the plugin to get this to pass. How do others submit their themes using TGMPA?

@tradesouthwest Quite easily – they download TGMPA using the Custom TGMPA Generator, If you do that, the TGMPA code will pass all Theme Review checks.

Thanks a million. I found the link to Otto’s Github resource that had a version of TGMPA which passed the auto-review. I will try the generator for future usage.

It sure would be nice if someone came up with a smaller version of a plugin assistant. TGM seems so large… I would think there could be less error UI and simply API Request a JSON for ones plugin from the repository. Thanks again @jrf.

Please do *not* use Otto’s fork as it is out-of-date. TGMPA is currently at v 2.6.1 while his fork is based on 2.5.2 and contains a minor security issue which was fixed in a later version of TGMPA.

The Custom Generator *really* is the best way to both pass Theme Check as well as stay current.
