cURL error 3: malformed error

    Just installed and activated the plugin, registered the account and then clicked the generate certificate, I then get the “cURL error 3: malformed” error.

    The site is on shared hosting, am I right in thinking it could be my host stopping me from using WP Encrypt / Lets Encrypt?

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    let me look into this issue if I can find something out. The problem doesn’t sound related to shared hosting.

    However, it’s still unlikely that the plugin will fully work on a shared hosting environment, since they usually limit all kinds of stuff 🙁

    Hi again,

    I just figured out where this bug was coming from. It was indeed something that changed in WordPress 4.6 that was “exposing” the bug – before it had just been more tolerant. The bug is fixed in the latest update that I just released.

    Thank you, I was able to generate a certificate! I’ll try the remaining steps now and see how far I can get.
