• I’m trying to make sure all my tracking is correct and in place.

However, all instructions I have found for DuracellTomi’s Google Tag Manager for Google Analytics and other tracking scripts are confusing or not available.

Here’s what I’m looking for and it’s standard for the majority of web analytics tracking needs.

DuracellTomi’s Google Tag Manager with the following:

    • Google Analytics
    • WooCommerce
    • Facebook Tracking
    • Twitter Tracking
    • Pinterest Tracking

Detailed help, including settings and screenshots, shout be available for each integration.

    Am I missing them?

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi Matt,

I think there is a confusion about Google Tag Manager (GTM) here.
GTM is not about tracking directly anything for Google Analytics.

GTM is a layer that can access some data on your website so that you can use those data either with Google Analytics or with advertising systems like AdWords, Facebook Ads, etc.

If you are using my plugin, you will have much more info to create a great setup using GTM but you will still need to setup everything on the GTM UI. If you are using WooCommerce, my plugin will integrate and do the best to give you data about purchases and other events in your shop.

To use Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest tracking, you will need to add those codes to your GTM manually, this is not what my plugin or any other GTM plugin can do for you.

If you are new to Google Tag Manager, I would advise to take this free course of Google:

I hope I was able to help,

I totally understand how GTM works and most of the configuration happens over at GTM.

I just wish there was clearing setup instructions to set up GTM using your plugin for maximum success with WooCommerce in particular.

I found an older article on configuration for an older version of your plugin but it seems some of the events or triggers have changed.

Is there a revised step by step post with instructions for 1.4 for people starting from scratch and not upgrading?

As far as facebook tracking goes do we use the new recommended DOM ready trigger?

Sorry about my mistake, I misunderstood your knowledge about GTM.

A new website will be launched which will also include some new guides but you should also know that since this is a free plugin, I usually spend my free time on the improvements instead of the docs.

I understand that many of you need detailed instructions and I will do my best to give you this but you will have to have patience. Since the user base of the plugin is growing, I also plan to “extend myself” and form a team to be able to give you the best support I/we can give.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Thanks!

I really appreciate the work you continue to put into the plugin.

I wish I knew enough to help write documentation or an instructions post.
