After the recent update in popup maker i now get a “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in /home/content/75/7007375/html/homeinspectioncarync/wp-content/plugins/popup-maker/includes/class-pum-ajax.php on line 29”

Please help as my website is not operational right now!

@skyleguy – What version of PHP do you have? Sounds like php 5.2. Got a patch coming for you in next hour or so. Easy fix if you want to do it yourself. Edit that file mentioned and on line 29 replace static:: with PUM_Ajax::

    Thanks for the report.

did that and now i get this error unfortunately

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW in /home/content/75/7007375/html/homeinspectioncarync/wp-content/plugins/popup-maker/includes/pum-condition-functions.php on line 97

@skyleguy – Have you tried updating to v1.4.18? The error you mentioned above generally means an unclosed parenthesis, but in this case I don’t think thats actually in the plugin (typo in your copy possibly). Other wise it would have generated the same error for hundreds of users since that error is not related to a specific version of PHP.

v1.4.18 includes all the fixes already mentioned as well. If that doesn’t work and you still get the same issue let me know because the line number will likely be different as line 97 in the latest version has nothing on it.

I use GoDaddy to host and since i cannot get to my wordpress site, I will have to update by deleting the popup maker plugin in GoDaddy’s FTP for my site. Will this delete the popups I have already made? I would highly prefer not having to remake them. Thanks

@skyleguy – Absolutely not, they are stored just like posts & pages on your site, you can freely delete and reinstall the plugin without data loss.
