• I’ve been using Yoast SEO for years and it’s always done the job well. But over the last few months, it’s really been going downhill.

    – Alerts after every update. This is so annoying for anyone who reads the changelog. Yes, I read the changelog and I’m the one who clicked “Update” so I know the plugin has been updated and what has changed. No need to throw this in my face after every update.

    – This isn’t really an issue since the alert system changed, but the plugin constantly had issues with adding alerts and forgetting to code in the snippet that permanently dismisses notices.. so they were stuck forever.

    – The new alert UI is clunky and not very user friendly.

    – There’s now a Yoast node in the admin bar that screams alerts at me.

In short, this plugin has become so in your face. I’m now looking to move to a quieter, simpler plugin (probably The SEO Framework).
