Adding Widget at the bottom of a page

Thank you for making this inspired and very useful plugin! It *almost* does what I need and I am hoping what I need can be accommodated either through configuration or slight code modification.

The issue is that the widget area is placed after the content area; but before other items that are placed on a page. There are use cases where it’s desirable to add a widget at the very bottom of a page — right before the footer.

Is it possible to configure or customize the plugin to place the content area at the bottom of a page — after the content area and any other items rendered on the page, but before the footer?
