The font CSS file (Elusive) isn’t being loaded on the Empire site, unlike the Bootleggers site, which is loading the font using:
<link rel="stylesheet" id="elusive-css" href="http://cardstuff.com/empire/wp-content/plugins/menu-icons/includes/library/icon-picker/css/types/elusive.min.css?ver=2.0" type="text/css" media="all">
This refers to the Menu Icons plugin.

Thanks Sumo, but it has nothing to do with Menu Icons as I added that to try and get rid of the square box, I just forgot to remove the plugin. I deactivated Menu Icons and it’s still there.
Also Google Fonts doesn’t have an ‘elusive-css’ font.
Back to the drawing board. Thanks for trying.
It doesn’t appear to be from GoogleFonts, its being loaded via /fonts/fontfaces.css and references several font files for the Elusive font.
Are those font files present?

Another note about this, it appears the square box thing is Chrome related, Firefox has it’s own box, and Edge works perfectly…
