• Hi – there’s a huge discrepancy between the pageviews that Jetpack STATS is showing for one day v. Google Analytics. Jetpack shows almost DOUBLE the amount. I’ve verified that Analytics code is rendering on both desktop and mobile.

What would be the reason for this discrepancy? One friend said maybe Jetpack isn’t filtering out bots…?

    Thanks,
    Jennifer

    Hi there!

Jetpack stats don’t track the following:
    – Visits to uploaded documents and files
    – Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images
    – GoogleBot and other search engine spiders/robots
    – Visits by users that are logged in

Because of this, Jetpack stats often appear lower than Google Analytics.

If you’d like, you could you post your site URL here and I’ll check to be sure your Jetpack and stats are configured properly. If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

No, you didn’t read my post. Like I said above, Jetpack shows almost DOUBLE the amount of pageviews as Google Analytics.

I did read your post. Usually Jetpack stats appear lower than Google Analytics, but that doesn’t mean they always will. Both systems, Jetpack and Google Analytics, record and track views differently.

If you think there is a misconfiguration, and would like us to look into your stats, please let us know.

Please kindly check my domain http://www.victornwankpa.com/ jetpack page views seem to low compared to google analytic. Thanks
