This one works:
http://www.an-article-on.com/wp-login.php
But I’d check (with FTP
or so) if all files and folders are on the right place…

that link gives me the login screen and when I login it gives me another 404 page,

The weird thing is that I can open the stylesheet of your theme (so it’s there), but the themes folder gives me a 404. Use FTP
or the file manager of your control panel to see it all files and folders are where they should be.

yes there all there? should there be any particular permissions i should look out for?
Should i upload the admin folders again from a fresh set of files ?

Weird, file permissions could be something, but I can’t imagine how the automatic upgrade could change file permissions. You can fool around a bit with the file permissions and see if it helps (what are they now?). Your other option is something you can try, but I can’t imagine how it would make a difference………
Weird problem you’ve got!
Make sure your background folder “wp-admin” whether there is, if does not exist please install the latest version of the extraction bag upload, I just go to your website, find your http://www.an-article-on.com/wp-admin/ does not exist

its there and i have just uploaded another wp-admin from a different wp install and its doing the same thing
does wp do redirecting or something ?
Roy
(@gangleri)
Not that I know. Have you checked if there’s anything funky with file and folder permissions?
Roy

Could it be an interfering plugin? Do you use Ask Apache perhaps? To find out, you can rename the plugin folder using FTP and try again.
看得明白中文吗?你的 wp-admin文件夹不存在,你可以从wordpress的安装包里复制wp-admin文件夹到你的网站上
Your wp-admin folder does not exist, you may duplicate the wp-admin folder from the wordpress peaceful packaging to yours website

Jonely, you get the same 404 when trying to access the wp-content or wp-content/themes folder, but you CAN open the stylesheet of the theme, so the folder is there alright. It sounds to me like there’s something else going on.
wordpress不允许修改后台的名字,必须是固定名字- “wp-admin”
wordpress does not permit the revision backstage the name, must be fixed name “wp-admin”

problem solved
to fix the problem the server admin changed the apache handlers due to an error after the suphp was installed.
that was a weird one I hope if anybody faces the same problem this will help them.
