Support » Fixing WordPress » 404 Subdirectory Error after moving WP to root

  • Hi all,

I developed a site using WP and had it running at mydomain.com/v2

My host was on PHP4 and it worked but then switched to PHP5.

I then followed the Codex instructions changing the URL and the WP address to mydomain.com and I moved the WP files to the root of the domain. Now, when I try to access subdirectories such as mydomain.com/myfolder, all I get are 404 errors.

This works if I switch back to php4, but doesn’t work in php5 – I need php 5 however for some plugin functionality and can’t do without it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best,
    Denis
