    Hi–

I have a sever that hosts several WordPress sites that are all using BackWPUp to automatically backup the sites. They all have two backups setup–one to backup all the files to Dropbox and one to email a SQL dump.

On one of the sites I’m getting an error message Error while sending email! when the job to backup via email runs (I also get this error when I click “send test email”). On every other site hosted on the same server the email backup runs without issue–so I do not believe it is an issue with the server configuration. Also the standard WordPress admin emails and even the BackWPUp email alert to notify me that the job failed are working fine.

So I believe there is an issue with my configuration somewhere but I can’t nail down what the problem might be.

I’d really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Realized my “from” address was different from my WordPress admin email due to a typo.

Can you try to set up a other email configuration in the job. Yuse a smtp server for your postbox.

Thanks for the reply! The problem ended up being that the “from” email address was different than my WordPress admin email and that caused an error. Maybe the from address should be editable if PHP Mail has been selected.

    Thanks!
