Multiple images in one

    Hi there!
    I’m new to relatively new to WordPress and don’t know much about it. I’ve noticed that when I upload an image and then insert it into my post, it shows up as one image. But a mate of mine who know how to get into the code of my site tells me that theres multiple image files sitting in that one image (if that makes sense).

    I’ve got NO experience in coding so I wouldn’t even know where to start. My friend is stumped too. Does anyone have any info on this? Has it happened to you? If you know anything or have any ideas how to fix this, I’d really appreciate it.

    Can your mate explain what that means? What is the file extension?
