Support » Plugin: Woo Email Control » Duplicate content?

    Hello!

When previewing the email or sending a test email, the customer details, order details table, and the top are duplicated. Actually, it almost looks like a duplicate of the email is nested within the email itself …

I tried to deactivate all plugins except for Woocommerce itself and the problem persists. All other features seem to work nicely.

Thank you for this great plugin otherwise! 🙂

PS – On the view order page, I can see the following warning:

Warning: Missing argument 4 for WOO_CTRL::display_product_cats() in /kunden/436625_27777/webseiten/iphone-express-display-reparatur.de/wp-content/plugins/woo-email-control/classes/class-wooctrl.php on line 433

Moreover, the product category is being displayed, although its set to not be…

Sorry Tony, got ahead of myself with the latest update.

Fixed the missing argument and the product cats (and skus) being displayed regardless of the setting.

The duplication of the email though is trickier. Is it a custom template you’re using? I suspect there is an action being triggered twice. Let me look into it further and see if I can spot where it might be happening.

    Cheers

Thank you so much for the very quick support! 🙂

    No worries.

I’ve updated the plugin to 1.041, which includes some css too that was missing from the previous versions.

Can you show me your template file for the emails that are being duplicated? Maybe put it in pastebin?

It’s the default templates … I have not overwritten them.

Sorry about that Tony. Which version of Woocommerce are you using?

I’ll investigate further and get back to you.

No worries. Thank you for your time!

I am using Woocommerce 2.6.4 with WordPress 4.5.3

I’ve removed the constructor method on the class, preventing it being called automatically.

New version is 1.05 Tony – fingers crossed that will sort your issue!

    Let me know. Cheers

    (@tonyhegyes)

Hey, sorry, but the issue is still there 🙁

Also, there seems to be some sort of caching mechanism on the orders — I deleted some orders, but I still have the option of previewing the email for them (the Using Order dropdown in the settings of particular emails).

Of course, if I try to preview that email I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_order_number() on boolean in /kunden/436625_27777/webseiten/[WEBSITE NAME]/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/emails/class-wc-email-cancelled-order.php on line 56

There’s no caching, it’s just the way I retrieve the order numbers (from the woocommerce_order_items table). Too many possible values for post_status within a woocommerce order, because of custom statuses etc.

I’ll create a workaround next update.

As for the double content, I’m at a loss I’m afraid. Are you now using 1.05?

    Thread Starter tonyhegyes

    (@tonyhegyes)

Yes, it is 1.05 — it’s ok, I’m not really concerned about it because I know what’s supposed to show up.

If I’ll have time, I’ll try to debug it too and I figure it out, I’ll let you know.

Thank you for your support! 🙂 And good plugin.

I figured it out — it was a conflict generated by YITH WooCommerce Uploads Premium.

Frankly, I’m not surprised, that plugin is extremely buggy.

Any chance you can flick me the details of the conflict so I can address it?

Was it an easy fix? Hopefully wasn’t a case of simply disabling Woo Email Control?

    Thanks Tony

    (@tonyhegyes)

Truth is, I haven’t fixed it yet. I noted what the problem is, and when I need to use Woo Email Control, I disable the other one temporarily. I might have time to look more into it by the end of the week though.

I’ll let you know if I fix it (and how).
