  • Hi Hank,

If I click on ‘All Affiliates’ then click the ‘view’ on ‘TestLink’ then it takes me to the http://www.google.co.uk website

Ok, that bit seems to be fine

If I open a page and highlight some text then click one of the green ‘aff’ buttons to create or add an affiliate link I get the 404 error page not found message

    That quite odd!

Click the green “aff” button in the edit screen should bring up a Thickbox lightbox like this:

So you are saying it’s taking you to a different page altogether? That indicates there’s something breaking javascript on your website.

Check the inspector console for error and see what you find:

    http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/javascript/diagnose-javascript-errors

    Hope this helps!

Try also switching to one of the default themes like TwentySixteen. This will tell you if it’s the theme’s fault or not.

    Cheers,
    Josh

    Hi Josh

    Thanks for your reply

Tried changing to the TwentySixteen theme and I get this error:
Oops! That page can’t be found.

It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?

I tried looking at the Browser Console for errors and it is showing an error for Kaspersky Internet Security but does not show any other errors

I have tried temporarily disabling Kaspersky but that does not make any difference at all

A few months ago I use to use GoCodes and that worked fine …

I will contact Studiopress support (who make the theme I am using to see if they have heard of any conflicts with your plugin ….

    Regards

    Hank

    Hey Hank,

Try switching to TwentySixteen, then go through this guide:

    https://thirstyaffiliates.com/knowledgebase/links-arent-redirecting-brings-404-error

If it’s still not working there could be an issue related to the host.

Otherwise, if it does start working then its the theme.

You could try re-enabling the News Pro theme and re-run the above guide and see if that helps. If it’s still not working then I’m afraid contacting the theme dev might be the best option.

    Hope this helps!
    Josh

    Hi, Josh Kohlbach

myself Shravan and I’m using your plugin ThirstyAffiliates from last month, all is working great but one time I changed my previous affiliate link and want to replace with the new affiliate link then that link is not working and when I try to visit that new custom ThirstyAffiliates link than its redirecting infinity time, so how can I solve this issue, this issue also happens when I want to create a new custom URL from ThirstyAffiliates with same affiliate URL,
