Hi Cemal,
for your first question, please take a look at our knowledge base for a solution:
https://slimstat.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000000414-the-reports-are-not-being-rendered-correctly-or-buttons-do-not-work
I’m not sure I understand your second question. As our track record shows, we are usually more than happy to improve our interface and our software in general. If you would be so kind to expound on what you are trying to do, I can see if we can help you with that.
The world map might be related to your first question. Once you solve that, the world map should appear.
Best,
Jason

Hello Jason, it turned out that all my questions were related to the adblocker in the browser. The second question puzzled me, now I understand why. When the adblocker is enabled the settings screen is totally different. Instead of seeing “Client” or “Server” slider, it shows only a checkbox.
Now, my question will take a different turn. Is it possible to check for the presence of an ad blocker and warn the user? Or at least a general comment in the interface. There was a message at the top of all screens with a button “I got it” which did not do anything. Perhaps you could add a message there “If this message does not slide up and disappear, you may have an ad blocker enabled.” or something like that.
I am all set but the interface may need ad least a minimal alert message.
Thank you for a very quick and accurate answer.
Cemal
Prof. Cemal,
you make a very good point, I will forward your message to the developer to see if that’s something we can implement. It would definitely avoid a lot of confusion on our users’ side. Thank you for suggesting this.
Best,
Jason
Hi,
a warning message has been added to the code and it will be displayed when AdBlock prevents the browser from loading our stylesheet and other assets. Thank you again for suggesting this clever solution!

I am glad to be of help. Partly because I designed interface, and mainly because I have made these mistakes before!
Thank you,
Cemal
If you have any other suggestions, feel free to share them with us!

Jason, I see the message, the plugin must have upgraded. I see the message although I can clearly see the proper layout and the ad blocker is disabled. The way it is written may create a different kind of confusion. May I suggest a little change, it currently reads as is the display is not proper. You may either check the status of the ad blocker and display this message if it is active, or indicate that the layout “may not be proper” rather than the definitive language used that the necessary scripts and CSS “are not loading.”
Cemal
Cemal,
you may want to clear your browser cache to see if the message disappears. As for the copy we used, would you be so kind to send us what you think the message should say? We are more than happy to update it to avoid any kind of confusion.
Jason.

Jason, I am sharing two screen captures, one with ad blocker on and one off. When the ad block is turned off the layout looks fine but the warning message remains at the top. Is it possible to turn your ad block message off programmatically?

If this cannot be done programmatically, then we will look at the language.
Cemal
Cemal,
please make sure to clear your cache, as it looks like your browser is using an older version of the stylesheet, which does not include the new code to detect the adblocker correctly (and thus hide the message). If you use Cloudflare, make sure to clear the server cache as well.
Best,
Jason.

I put CloudFlare in maintenance mode and cleared the cached. That worked! The message disappeared. However, when I brought CloudFlare back, the message appeared. I do not want to clear all my CF cache to get rid of the message. If you are confident that the problem is solved I will live with the message until CF renews the cache for SlimStats pages. I can delete them one at a time, but too aggravating.
So many variables!
Cemal
Cemal,
yes, the issue should disappear once Cloudflare starts serving the new files. We are working on something that will solve this issue, though, in case other users have the same configuration you have.
Best,
Jason
