Good day,

I am struggling to send out newsletters using Mailpoet. I have been using it since April and it stopped working last week. I have done the following before logging this:
1) Checked my PHP mail is working (Received test and password reset link)
2) Confirmed with my host that all is in order with email and domain (Not marked as spam or blacklisted)
3) Confirmed sending limits with host and all is in order (Sending frequency is 100 every 15 mins, server limit is 700 per hour)
4) Set up a CRON job using the steps in the following link https://support.mailpoet.com/knowledgebase/configure-cron-job
5) Enable debug mode on Mailpoet with no errors
6) Confirmed no recent updates or plugins are interfering
7) Full permissions for my account on cron.php file

When I schedule an automatic newsletter, the job says sending but nothing is ever received. If I set up a manual newsletter, not scheduled but sent immediately, it remains in the sending phase and I have to click on send now for the emails to pass through. Is there any way to get support with this? I am currently on the free option.

Regards
Nisa

• Hi,

In this case you may need to get in touch with your host, as there is probably something wrong with your cron job and/or your outgoing ports.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. They have advised that all is in order with the CRON job. Which outgoing ports should I ask them to check? Is there anything specific they should look for?

Hi,

Can your host update you by email everytime a cron runs? On cPanel you have this option, and this way you can see if the cron runs as expected.

Also, can you access the cron URL directly? Does it says the MailPoet’s cron is ready?

Premium users will have this issue take care of, since our cron will trigger the sending process.

Hi,

They have set it up and I am now receiving the emails each time a cron job runs. This is the detail:

Subject: Cron <bellexly@duriel> curl –request GET ‘http://belleblushh.com/wp-cron.php?072d471ebd9aa0d322186764d995794d&action=wysija_cron&process=all’

MailPoet’s cron is ready. Simply setup a CRON job on your server (cpanel or other) to trigger this page.

As far as they can check everything on their side is fine. Will reinstalling the plugin make any difference?

I am having this similar problem. Been using Mailpoet for over a year, flawlessly. Aug 2 it stopped sending.

I have used the MP spam test. No problem. I’ve sent myself several “test” newsletters. They look fine. I’ve checked all the settings.

The newsletter shows it is queued up and ready to go, showing the count down, but it doesn’t send.

Was there a mail poet update on Aug 2?

Thanks for your help.

I just talked to my hosting company (Bluehost). They don’t see any problems on their end.

Ray

I am having the same problem. The Status shows “The last batch of emails should start sending automatically in the next few minutes.”. However, it never does start sending emails. I click “Don’t wait & send right now.” and a batch of emails are sent. I am using elasticemail.com for sending. I have mailpoet installed on another website and it works flawlessly… love it. What setting is wrong?

Thank you,
Loren

You all need to setup a Cron Job on your server: http://docs.mailpoet.com/article/47-configure-cron-job

I fixed this problem by making a copy of my newsletter and deleting the original. It’s sending fine, now.
