I am in need of help and VERY new to WordPress so please be easy on me πŸ™‚

I am trying to help my dad by editing his company website but it was created by someone else who is unable to give me insight on how it was set-up. I’m trying to edit some images on a page but when I am in the “Edit Page” I don’t see the page content at all.

The theme he’s using is Avada and I have tried to edit this with the Customizr theme with no luck.

The website I’m trying to edit is http://www.trainingfundingsource.com and the “Our Clients” tab (all the complany logos) is what I’m trying to edit but in the editor I don’t see any of the images. I have been searching for days for a solution but I have no IT experience so I’m at a total loss. Any help or guidance would be extremely appreciated!

  • From what I can see by inspecting your source code, those company logos are being added via some form of Portfolio, they don’t appear to be a part of an actual page.

The page that contains this portfolio has an ID# of 466 and has been assigned to a 6 column portfolio template.

Referring to the Avada docs, it seems portoflio pages contain multiple “portfolio categories” that you select via some options when creating the Page.

This could be something that is added frequently to WordPress called a “custom post type” and typically has its own admin menu, are there any “Portfolio” menus in your admin?

Do you have any Portfolio plugins active? You can check via the Appearance > Plugins menu.

Is there some option when writing a new Post to save it as some kind of Portoflio Item?

    Hope this helps.

    Hi laurendennis,

in addition to what ThemeSumo said, under Appearance => Plugins you usually won’t find plugins because that’s not the place where plugins can be found in WordPress. Plugins can be found just under the Plugins menu item in your WordPress dashboard.

Thank you so much for your responses! (Sorry it took so long to respond- these emails were in a different folder 😳) I was able to access the portfolio to resolve this original problem but what seems to be the bigger problem is the tabs inside that page. If you notice on the “Our Clients” page there are several categories to choose from. When you click on those they should take you to another screen with the specific logos for that category but instead they stay at “All”. I have tried resetting the permalinks with no luck. I have also tried to add a new category all together and it does the same. I’m assuming there’s some sort of break but I am not sure how to fix this.

Like I said, this is very new to me so I really appreciate your help!

Have you tried to contact the theme developers with your issue? As you’ve purchased a commercial theme, you should be able to get support from the theme developers because that’s what you paid for.
