• I have JPG images loaded into my Document Gallery that I would like to open to different “Custom URLs” like I can when just inserting a regular image into a page. When I generate the Document Gallery, they only link to the JPG images themselves. How do I get them to link elsewhere?

Could you please provide or point me to an example?

    Thanks!

    Hi slizWP,

The short answer is that DG cannot do what you describe. Not on its own, anyway. Can you describe to me more specifically what you are trying to accomplish? What are the images and what are the links in relation to each other?

Not being the original poster, I cannot answer for slizWP’s needs, but I too very much would appreciate an option to link a document gallery to a custom url.

Today it’s possible to link a gallery to either the file og the attachment page.

An option to link to “none” or a custom url, much like the standard wordpress galley, would be greatly useful.

This screenshot may shed some light on the usage scenario. I’m using Document Gallery for both documents and photos of people (se the bottom of the screenshot), making it easy for me to maintain the site. But clicking on the photos, just opens the photo on its own.

I’d be great to be able to disable the link all together, or to link to a custom url, say a phonelist 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bjarne
