I have a product that comes in different colors. It looks like either the Reference or the Options field could be used for the customer’s selection.

The Options field does the job well, but since it seems the Reference field cannot be deleted, I should use it instead of the Options field.

But the Reference field is not working for me. In spite of my having the Dropdown button checked, the field is just showing a comma-separated list.

Here is a test page that shows the above.

  • You have to have a Reference, PayPal will reject the form if it’s missing. But you can use the ‘Pre-set Reference’ option.

Make the reference ‘T-Shirt’ and check the preset box. This will remove the input field and replace it with a fixed reference.

The options are showing as a drop down for me.

Thanks! That clears things up somewhat, and the test page now shows a table that will be useful.

Yes, the Options drop-down has always worked for me. It’s the Reference drop-down that doesn’t work for me. However, now that I’ve switched to the Pre-set Reference, the problem is moot.
