• For no apparent reason none of my featuted images or images embedded in my content pages stopped displaying. I tried to reinsert them. The embedded images content images show up when previewed but when I UPDATE and go to the live site no images shpw up. I refreshed the browsers (used Chrpme and Firefox (neither display).

Here is link to my site:

Looking specifically at http://www.realsims.com/2016/05/14/first-blog-post/ the source of the failed image is http://i2.wp.com/www.realsims.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/alternate-sidebar1.jpg?fit=648%2C432

The image is being provided via Jetpack’s Photon CDN, but visiting the URL reports “Error 0004. Unable to load the image.”

This appears to be because the original image is also not found: http://www.realsims.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/alternate-sidebar1.jpg

Did you delete the image from your Media Library after adding it to the post?

It seems that you have enabled the “photon” extension in Jetpack. This hosts your images on the WordPress CDN. I can tell this by looking at the attachment URL in one of the missing images on your home page.

    http://i2.wp.com/www.realsims.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sim-center-san-francisco.jpg?w=640

This represents an image that should be at:

    http://www.realsims.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sim-center-san-francisco.jpg

When I look for the image in the link above, I get an error message from your site, indicating that the picture has been removed, or is no longer there.

I would suggest you turn off “Photon” and first ensure that all your images are appearing correctly on your site. If necessary, look in “Media” and ensure that the attachment URL in the post is the same as the one that the picture in Media is using.

Once everything works, you can turn “Photon” back in in Jetpack settings.
