Hi arturius,
Just to confirm, you are using this plugin to generate a Google News sitemap and have selected the correct “Add Google News Sitemap” option when adding the sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools?
If the above is correct then please supply me with a hyperlink to the sitemap in question so I can verify the output myself.
Chris
… and it is installed in webmaster tools add sitmap as http://www.ecpress.org/google-news-sitemap.xml
OK, it shows with a check mark and an OK now. I did not change a thing, I only resubmitted it with the same name … who knows, thanks anyway.
Tim
Hi arturius,
Yeah, Google News sitemap looks fine and I am glad you have now got it sorted out.
Please remember to rate the plugin if you find it useful!
Many thanks,
Chris
hi,
I have a question. I also run xml sitemap plugin called sitemap.xml. Will the two together conflict, because I now have an issue with my sitemap.xml?
It now has the “x” splat.
Tim
No, the two plugins do not conflict.
I think it must be something to do with the way you are submitting it to Google Webmaster Tools.
I run both versions with great results.
Chris
They both show as acceptable now. However, the news sitemap shows that I have submitted 20+ URLs, but none are indexed by google. how long do you think the indexing process will take. Or, do they usually index URLs submitted with the “news sitmap” right away?
Just curious,
Thanks,
Tim
Hi,
Could you tell me why google indexes some of my URLs with the news site map and then they get removed. I went from one to twelve, and now zero indexed URLs – just curious.
Tim
Same problem here. Google Webmaster is saying that there are additional fields needed?
Hi guys,
It’s stated in the Google News forums that the news sitemap’s format has been updated:
Could this relate to the issue we’re experiencing?
