Images not displaying with captions [fix]

I’m not sure how or where to report this but thought it would be helpful for someone.

I am using WP 2.8.2. I started coding all of my images like this:

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Faith Fuelers Youth"]<img src="../images/youth2.jpg" alt="Faith Fuelers Youth" width="300" height="224" />[/caption]

I then ripped out my hair for an hour trying to figure out why the caption would show up, but the picture wouldn’t!

If I remove the caption shortcode, the image displayed just fine.

Finally after some experimenting, I realized that if I put the FULL absolute URL in there (http://www.site.com/images/image.jpg) instead of (../images/image.jpg), it works just fine.
