    Hi Tradedog,

    Hope you’re doing well today 🙂

    WP Smush does lossless compression that doesn’t affect quality of the image so the reduction can be lower than when using super smush available in Pro version that further optimizes images with minimum loss in image quality.

    The percentage also depends on the images you are uploading, if the image is fairly optimized before the upload then the plugin can’t do much more.
