• I have a problem me and my host cant seem to solve. I made a copy of a website in direct admin and installed it with the same Direct Admin user. I changed all references to domain1 to domain2. No trace of it anymore in the database.

However when a contact form is filled in and I receive it in gmail the from adress in the mail header is showed like this: From: Arnold <no-reply@domain2.com> via domain1.nl

I can click on Via and get more information > https://support.google.com/mail/answer/1311182/

    Some more info
    – I added spf record in dns of where domain is hosted (different host then where website is located) with the ip of both hosts.
    – I tried it with a new contact form… same problem
    – I did a search in the database for ‘domain1’ and found 0 hits.
    – When I open the mail in roundcube you dont see the ‘VIA’

Anyone has a clue?? Any help would be welcome!

Hey Rusty, thank you for your comment. The admin user has a different name + screenname.. To bad that is not the solution 🙂

Since I cant find anything of domain1 in the database I suspect it’s some DirectAdmin thing.
Some more info that i forgot to mention.
Both websites have a different database user and database name.
