I setup WordPress-Wiki on ReptiWiki.com and really like it. It is much more esthetically pleasing in the backend then MediaWiki and I think much easier to use for those not technology-inclined.
Downside is, I wasn’t aware that WordPress-Wiki wouldn’t work with 2.8 and just upgraded the site…So now the stinkin’ thing doesn’t work!
Thanks.
I’ve registered an account there and wondering:
1. where to make a new post?
2. can i users add their own category?
3. is it possible to change the theme for dashboard? It seems too complicated for average users.
Btw, the ISP you’re using seems extremely slow….
I can’t answer any of those questions because now it doesn’t work with 2.8.2 as I said.
Thanks triplemoons.
Having tried wordpress wiki, wikipress and dashboard-tiddly, I think i’ll go back to mediawiki for building up a wiki site.
its drawback is very heavy loading and resource hungry, but its features are known to many potential users. It takes time to learn a whole new system.
And i’ve just tried to modify a skin (theme) for mediawiki. It’s not as difficult as imagined. Some php and css knowledge is good enough.
