why its redirecting from wp-login.php to new url??

    i just tried this plugin after i change the login url i tried wp-login.php and it redirecting to new url. if its redirecting to new url then this plugin is useless. this plugin should give 404 on wp-login.php

    Actually I think you didn’t read the plugin’s description. “Custom Login URL is a lightweight plugin that allows to customize default WP login, registration and password reminder URLs”. There is no mention about preventing access to those url’s, only about customizing them (for example instead of using /wp-login.php you can make it prettier like /login).

    If you added a “new url” in the plugin’s settings, why are you surprised that it redirects you to that “new url”? If you need 404, you should put the “404 url” instead of “new url”.

    As far as I’m concerned and based on your original post, the plugin works as intended and as advertised. It’s you the one that misunderstood it’s purpose.
