• So – i am absolutely new to wordpress and someone created this for me and has no more time to manage it.
So i did an update and since then i get the following error message:
    Fehler: Umleitungsfehler

Die aufgerufene Website leitet die Anfrage so um, dass sie nie beendet werden kann.

Dieses Problem kann manchmal auftreten, wenn Cookies deaktiviert oder abgelehnt werden.

I have no idea whatsoever how to even start looking into this. I am an IT-professional so i do know something about computers so maybe someone can point me towards a tutorial or has an idea where i can look to see maybe how the access to the page is configured or whatever might be the background for this error-message.

  • For the benefit of non-German readers, in English, this says:

“Error: Error Redirection The site is redirecting the request in a way that they will never complete . This problem may sometimes occur if cookies are disabled or rejected.”

You have a redirect loop of some sort. Since it happened after an update, a very likely candidate is a badly-coded plugin that is causing a conflict. I would start by disabling all plugins to see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then re-enable them one by one until you find the one that breaks it again. You will then know not to use that plugin any longer.

Thanks ever so much for translating the error message, i wasn’t sure how the english one is phased.
I have already disabled all plugins and still are getting the same error message. So that post didn’t solve my problem.

There is no plugin active at the moment.

Could you provide a link to the site?
