I do not want my subscribers to see the back end after they log in. They should be redirected to the specified page on the front end.

I disabled all the options for my subscribers and selected [Dashboard deactivate, redirect to] = [other page] and entered the page for redirection.

When my subscribers login using wp-login.php, they still remain on the profile page in the back end and must click the site name link to go to the front end.

Also, the W3 Total Cache banner is displaying.

Browser: Tried in Explorer and Chrome with the same results.
    Theme: Twenty Twelve Child

    Any ideas?

Have you redirect URL include the http protocol, in short the completely URL?
Have you tried this without other plugins? Maybe a other plugin change the redirect, have topic int the header.
