Thanks for the feedback. Wow, I wish you would have made any effort at all to get help via the plugin’s Support page, instead of registering an account just to leave a poor review. I live to serve my users, but can’t do anything for those who don’t want help.
That said, the only thing that the plugin “requires” you to paste is a shortcode:
[user-submitted-posts]
And that can be copied/pasted into any WP Post or Page. That’s all there is to it. About as simple as it gets. And yes the plugin provides a page of settings that enables you to configure things as desired, but the default options work just fine. It’s all explained in the plugin’s documentation.

How come being complex deserves one star? It doesn’t make any sense.
No doubt, and the plugin is not even complicated, just add a shortcode to any Post or Page and done. There are settings to adjust things, but they are straightforward and optional.
