• I think the plugin went CRAZY. I just deleted almost 15,000 files from my ithemes-security backup folder. It looks like I had a SQL file created about once every 5 minutes.
What is going on? I just click DISABLE for the database backups, I hope that helps. Anyone else notice this? Or ever look in their backup folder?
    Thanks

  • I had the same problem 10 days ago and despite set it up well it has happened again. The technical service of server has warned me of the increase in occupied space. I have read is an old bug and I just disabled the backup and no problem by the moment. I use another plugin to backup database. If happens a third time again I will uninstall the plugin.

This happened to me this morning. I’ve disabled backup, so we’ll see if it stops. It better or I’ll pull the plug on this plugin, so to speak.

This also happened to me. I had the plugin set to produce a backup once every 3 days, and to only retain the most recent 3 backups. Earlier this week, I started to receive disk space warning messages from my host. Today, I deleted nearly 2,000 backup files that had accumulated in the last 3.5 days. I have another backup plugin to use instead.

Same problem here. Activated backups and countless backups keep coming in. Disabled the feature.

Same thing here… I had deactivated the backups, but iThemes reactivated them resulting in 7GB of unwanted backups.
First time was 2015, so the bug(s) still exist.
