Custom sidebar using format of primary sidebar

    Hi,
    I want to create a sidebar that has no formatting as oppose to the green background formatting the primary sidebar has to the theme. I created a theme sidebar. I tested it with a get_sidebar() in my page.php file and no green formatting displayed. When using custom sidebars the sidebar that I created has the green background. How do I get rid of it for the theme sidebar template I created?
