Center the group of top menu links?

Ok, I found these two threads, very helpful:

My own solution ended up like this:

@media screen and (min-width: 590px) {
.main-navigation ul {
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
width: 520px;
}
}

The media query makes it so this only applies when the screen width is larger than 580px, since the menu turns into drop-down labelled MENU at 580px wide or smaller.

width: 520px; is the total width of my particular list of menu links.
