    Hello,

I have just installed your plugin to try and resolve a plugin conflict. I have:

    1. created a folder underneath wp-content called logs and placed into it a file called php-errors.log.
    2. copied the path from FileZilla for that location.
    3. edited wp-config.php and pasted your code into it.
    4. edited that code to have the path copied from FileZilla at step 2 into

Gone back to WP Dashboard and get the error. Can you please help with that?

Also, I cannot see any Configure box in the widget either.

Thanks heaps for your plugin and your help!

    John

Could it be a that FileZilla is showing the location incorrectly? Depending on how the server is configured, the root directory that the FTP client sees may not be the same as the directory that a PHP script sees.

Try the development version of this plugin. It will show the WordPress root directory in the widget. Compare that to the path that you got from FileZilla – the left half of both paths should be identical, probably up to /wp-content.

Also, I cannot see any Configure box in the widget either.

The “Configure” link will show up when you mouse over the “PHP Error Log” widget title. If it doesn’t then you need to upgrade WordPress – one of the previous WordPress versions had a bug where “Configure” links didn’t show up for any Dashboard widgets.

Thanks Janis. What do you mean by the “development version of this plugin” please? Thanks. John

Oops, I forgot to include the link. The development version is here:
    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/error-log-monitor.zip

(You can also find this version – and all past versions – under the “Developers” tab on the plugin homepage.)

Awesome! Thanks heaps. Using the dev version and copying the path from there solved the issue. Thanks again for the plugin and your help! John
