    Hi,

I have been looking for this problem, but the posts I find are either too old, or give advice that doesn’t seem to work for me.

In short, the publicise feature works well for me, and it publishes entries in Twitter and Facebook. However, the space for the picture is ALWAYS empty. I have a pic designed as featured picture. It is always larger than 200 * 200, and not too big in size. The Twitter or Facebook posts neither pick this pic or another in the entry. I don’t know what to do.

Another (minor) question is, that I have configured publicise to publish in my page (not personal account) in Facebook, but everytime I want to publish is asks me either or, and always offers the personal account as default.

Could you post your site URL here, as well as an example of a post where the image wasn’t picked up by Facebook, so I can have a look?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

You can’t publish to both from the same account. When connecting your own Facebook account to your site, you’ll have to pick whether you want to post to your Facebook Profile, or to one of the Facebook Pages where you’re an admin.

If you want to publish to both, you’ll need to connect a different Facebook, that also has admin access to the Facebook Page.

Many thanks for getting back to me Jeremy.

    My site URL is:

    http://www.thecuentista.com

Here a link to the Facebook page where you can see the published posts. Everything with the publication is fine save the absence of pic.

    https://www.facebook.com/TheCuentista/

And a link to the latest blog post:

    Many thanks for your assistance.

    Hi thecuentista!

In order to display your shared posts properly, Facebook needs a specific kind of tag within your site’s source code. Jetpack automatically creates these Open Graph (OG) Meta tags for you, unless you already use another Open Graph plugin, in which case we let the other plugin handle things. Looking at your site, it looks like you’re using the All In One SEO plugin, but perhaps you haven’t properly configured it yet.

You’ll need to go to your All in One SEO Pack settings, and enable OG tags there.

First, go to All in One SEO > Feature Manager.

Next, click Activate under Social Meta.

Then, under the Social Meta options, select the “Autogenerate OG descriptions” option.

Let us know if that does the trick, next time you publish a new post.

    Many Thanks!

I have done that and it seems to be working better, in the sense that some (but not all posts) show the image now.
However, each time I actualize/publish an entry now, I get the following message?

Error: Facebook Open Graph Tags cache NOT updated/purged.
Facebook returned: Object at URL ‘http://www.thecuentista.com/20-autores-que-escriben-de-futbol-la-literatura-y-el-deporte-rey/’ of type ‘website’ is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values: http://www.thecuentista.com/20-autores-que-escriben-de-futbol-la-literatura-y-el-deporte-rey/, http://www.thecuentista.com/20-autores-que-escriben-de-futbol-la-literatura-y-el-deporte-rey/.

    it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values

That’s indeed the issue. You’ve added 2 different Open Graph Tags management plugins on your site, and Facebook doesn’t like duplicate tags.

It looks like you’re using both “Facebook Open Graph, Google+ and Twitter Card Tags” and the Social Meta module included in the “All in One SEO Pack” plugin. You’ll need to choose one, and deactivate the other to solve this issue.
