• Wondering if there has been any update on this issue of *not* allowing below-editor level users to modify the “editorial metadata” assigned to each post?

I liked the very last suggestion, that if a non-Editor user (Author or Contributor, or possibly based on a user group role) is writing/editing a post those metaboxes should say “Editorial Requirements’ but not be editable.

I know the original poster on that thread settled for removing the metaboxes, but we want our authors/contributors to be able to see them, just not edit them.

Lastly, is there a better place to put feature requests? I totally love this plugin and have managed to customize it with some snippets, but I can see a few things that I think a lot of users would also make use of and would like to contribute a few feature requests.

Haven’t had a chance to get to this yet, but it’s still kicking around on the Edit Flow Github Repo.

For the time being, it would be great if you filed feature requests in the Github repo under the issues section (maybe add “Feature Request” to the title of the issue. Ex: “Feature Request: This feature would be awesome!”).

Also, definitely feel free to take a crack at making a pull request for this feature!

@cojennin – many thanks for the update!

I will definitely take some time very soon to add a few feature requests following your suggestion. I’m not a true coder myself (I’ve just learned how to modify other’s code to suit my needs) so I don’t feel qualified (yet!) to contribute pull requests but hope to someday!
