2.9.1 or wait for 3.0?

    From what I’m reading, the 2.9.1 upgrade fixes some problems not everybody is having. If I have a very stable, nicely-running 2.9 site, can I safely wait for 3.0?

    If you are currently satisfied there is no need to wait. Also if you have a lot of plugins, I would wait until 3.0.

    Even if you decide to skip 2.9.1, it doesn’t mean you can just skip to 3.0. Keep an eye out on recommended patches that may address security or other critical issues.

    Thank you, neodan and GabeYoung. I do have a lot of plugins, and since things are running nicely with 2.9, I think I will wait for 3.0. If there are new security threats in the meantime, I’ll have to rethink that, of course.
