• Updated to latest version. I used to have local pickup (free) in the shipping options for checkout. I had unchecked the legacy option thinking I could still show it using shipping zones. But it does not show. I am using Canada Post for shipping but would like to have the local pickup option (based on postal codes) show again as a shipping option in the checkout. How can I do this with new version of Woo? Thanks.

If you’ve unchecked local pickup it is now disabled. You need to add local pickup to a zone instead.

Canada post works globally like before; it does not support individual zones yet.

I too am having this issue. Just upgraded Woocommerce and set up Zone Shipping, just for Local Pick up so far, and it does not show on the cart or checkout page. Neither does tax!
Changed theme to 2013 and still does not show.

zert89118 which probably means your zone is not matching the user. Post **your own** thread with screenshots showing your setup. This is not related.

Thanks Mike. I will go back and have another look at things. Will report back.

So step by step updated. Everything was ok. Updated my theme (Udesign) and all was good still. Last update to be done was Woo 2.6 and it caused the problem. Same as before. Looking closer I notice that the editor content is still there but all white. You have to mouse drag and highlight to see it. Editor is showing Visual Composer code now as well. Appears the Woo 2.6 somehow damaged things. Perhaps Visual Composer. Its also now preventing post/page options by the theme from being accessible in the editor. I have to restore the site again now. Thoughts?

I’ve not seen that one happen. Have you opened up the console to see if there are errors? In chrome, View > Developer > Console.

On a clean install this isn’t a problem so perhaps there is some conflict with Visual Composer. I believe they just had a major update too?

No errors showing right now in console. But I’ve also restored the site (twice now) to working order because applying the Woo 2.6 update created problems. Yes Visual Composer had an update. The VC and its update installed and working fine. So is my Udesign theme latest update. As it stands right now as I have tested out (one by one updating), when I apply the Woo 2.6 update the problem happens. If I don’t update to Woo 2.6 everything works fine including theme and Visual Composer options with all updates applied for them. I did see the woo database updater not complete but then it appeared it did. See this screen grab https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/94009991/woo2.jpg

If all plugins and theme work fine before applying Woo 2.6 update, then I can’t reasonably conclude the problem is elsewhere than Woo update.

You are forgetting that some plugins and themes contain logic that relies on woocommerce. This may not be compatible.

By the same logic if you deactivate everything but woocommerce, you could conclude its a problem in your other plugins 🙂

I cannot test VC for you because its premium and I do not have access. If you could narrow it down to a conflict between WC and one other thing that would help.

I did think of that and was editing my post as such. I added that the woo database updater did not complete but then it appeared it did moving forward next screen. See this screen grab of error https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/94009991/woo2.jpg

So I have the Woo 2.6 update causing problems. The content in the editor doesn’t display after the Woo update. The Visual Composer doesn’t work after the Woo 2.6 and my theme options for a post/page don’t load.

If I dont apply the update then everything works fine.

I’ll try the suggestions for the database updater you posted. See what happens. I’m running Wordfence pro. Perhaps that is blocking woo database updater and then creating the problems I am seeing?

    Thanks,

That DB update error can be worked around above. Your cron jobs might not be working if it doesn’t run.

Can you screenshot me the error on your editor screen?

I am having a similar issue with the local pickup not showing up on the checkout/cart pages… I have flat rate (not local pickup) and two different types of local pickup zones made, one with every zip code near me and one with just my state. The only option showing up at checkout is flat rate. Another words, when the customer goes to check out, only flat rate is showing, whether they are logged in and local or checking out as a guest.

Hi Mike – sorry for the delay replying. Not sure what editor screen error you mean. But I’m going to try the 2.6.1 update later this evening and see what happens. I just want Vaultpress to its auto backup of the site first (happens around 8pm usually) before I do the Woo update since I’ve made changes elsewhere which I don’t want to have to redo if somethings goes wrong. So I’ll let you know what happens. Thanks again for the help so far.

    Cheers.

OK so I applied the Woo 2.6.1 update and again the Visual Composer for posts/pages stops functioning. The VC backend editor is gone and only the code shows in the editor itself. Also, the theme options for posts/pages no longer loads. If I disable Woocommerce, Visual Composer works again and all is fine inside the posts/pages editor. The theme options for posts/pages loads again fine. I opened a ticket with WP Bakery regarding this. In the meantime is there any other suggestions? I did not have this problem with Woocommerce 2.5.5 which is what I upgraded from.

    Thanks.
