Do you see the same warning when using a default theme like Twenty Sixteen?
I got that too on my post sitemap.
But when i refreshed, the error was gone.
It seems to happen only once per website.
Hi,
My NGINX error log seems to be filling up with the same errors since updating to 3.3.0.
Each time a post-sitemap.xml is accessed and not cached, the error log fills up with dozens of these lines:
PHP message: PHP Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML(): htmlParseEntityRef: expecting ‘;’ in Entity, line: 1 in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/sitemaps/class-sitemap-image-parser.php on line 139
Thanks.
same here 🙁
<b>Warning</b>: DOMDocument::loadHTML(): htmlParseEntityRef: no name in Entity, line: 1 in <b>/xxx/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/sitemaps/class-sitemap-image-parser.php</b> on line <b>139</b>
<b>Warning</b>: DOMDocument::loadHTML(): htmlParseEntityRef: expecting ‘;’ in Entity, line: 1 in <b>/xxx/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/sitemaps/class-sitemap-image-parser.php</b> on line <b>139</b>
I’ve created a GitHub issue for this warning at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/4881.
Please add any extra information you have to that issue, so that our development team resolve this more quickly. Valuable information would be a step-by-step description on how to reproduce this warning.
Thanks!
Taco,
I think we didnt tell you that it appears within the sitemap post-xml. Index xml is fine, but post xml keep giving this error.

Latest ver of yoast.
we’re using a child theme of TwentyFourteen with only cosmetic changes.
Me too getting similer errors on website
[15-Jun-2016 00:48:58 UTC] PHP Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML(): ID Description already defined in Entity, line: 5 in /home/dealssts/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/sitemaps/class-sitemap-image-parser.php on line 139
I use Genesis theme, just FYI.
And it happened in post / page / post-based sitemap (custom taxonomy).
In my website, it happened only once. And the error was gone when i refreshed my browser when opening the sitemap.
We’ve solved the problem and it will be released in Yoast SEO 3.3.1 later today.
Thank you so much for all the helpful feedback!
I confirm that the issue is resolved in 3.3.1.
Excellent! It’s working now.
