I’m trying to use the shortcode ( [wp_google_searchbox] ) inside of an HTML module and it’s not showing up at all. When I inspect it, the ID and class (div#wgs_widget_wrapper_id & .gcse-searchbox-only) still show up. I’ve used a variety of methods like adding random margins and spaces and adjusting widths and trying different position and display rules and whatnot to try and figure out if it’s been knocked off the page, but nothing makes it appear. Even when I give the class and ID a proper height (and a border so I can see the area) it doesn’t give any indication the proper search bar is there (like an I-beam or link pointer).

I can’t find a solution online, and many of this plugin’s tutorials from other sites don’t cover anything about using the shortcode. And Googling “Google Search” really doesn’t yield a whole ton of helpful results…

Any help would be much appreciated!
