Combined Sign In For WordPress & YAF (Yet Another Forum)

Is there ANY way that existing YAF logins could be used as single sign-on with WordPress so users don’t have to manage two accounts and we can use YAF functionality to screen new members?

Third party sites, plugins etc. all considered.

I know they are very different platforms and I’m not hopeful but worth an ask.
