2.8.1 Gallery upload feature?

Have you guys sorted the gallery uploads out. In 2.8, 2.8.1 beta when you upload images, they did not automatically go into the gallery without having to annoyingly save the post then add them to the gallery, just an annoyance which I’m sure is easily fixed(since it’s Worked up till 2.8) rather than anything else.
