• I have two questions:

    1. I want the people seeing my pictures to only view them by clicking on each one and going through them, not through the PicLens link. How do I remove that option from my page?

    2. When I view the pictures on different computers, the faded blacked out background, after you click on a certain picture, doesn’t cover the whole screen when you scroll down so you can’t see captions that I’ve put on there. Is there any way to make the black out effect cover the whole screen?

    Thanks,
    Andres

  • It took me a bit to find this (I had to go through the plugin’s code), but you can remove the PicLens link by adding a custom field on the page with name “ngg_gal_ShowPiclense” and value 0.

In the “General Options” page of the NextGen gallery options pages, there’s a checkbox labelled “Activate PicLens/CoolIris support”. If you uncheck this, it disables PicLens.

By the way, you should have a look at your site with javascript disabled (e.g., with Firefox with the NoScript plugin). It’s not great! More and more people are using NoScript nowadays, so it’s worth having a decent non-javascript fallback.
