• Hello, I’we been searching for a plugin which provides me with a Code button in the WordPress editor. The function I want is the same as on all the forums around, where you mark your text and press the Code button (Often a button with a # on it)

The search results which comes up when I try to find this is mainly code syntax highlighting, where you manyally have to enter <code></code> and <pre></pre> into all your code.

Maybe I want this later on, but for now I’m really just looking for a buttion I can press when I have marked what I want to show as code.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Not exactly what you want but, within the Visual Editor, there’s a “Preformatted” style option in the Paragraph dropdown that will insert the <pre></pre> tags for you.

    Thanks – it’s better then nothing 🙂

AND, I can ofcourse stylesheet this to my needs.

Just switch to HTML mode. The Code button is there!
