    The free plugin is purely a demo, a sales tool. Not something that has any usefulness in its own right.

    The description says that a limited number of pages will be imported but it’s actually so few that it’s practically useless.

    Also, not keen on being asked to give my email address in order to use this.

    I’m all in favour of free and pro versions of plugins and often pay for them – just don’t like this tactic.

    CMS2CMS provides Free Demo Migration that allows to move a limited number of pages absolutely for free. In the Full version you can move all your content – and the price of the Full migration and the quantity of the migrated data can be found at our migration wizard, once the demo is finished.

    Yes, you’re right – the plugin itself is free while the service is indeed commercial. However, there is nothing in the W.org plugin submission guidelines that bars developers from charging for 3rd party services.
