    Hi,

I updated to the latest version of the Quark theme, and WordPress, last week and haven’t been able to figure out why all of a sudden all the text for pages, posts, header links, etc. is really tiny after updating.

I started to manipulate sytles.css to up the font sizes proportionally (all the font-size rem’s I could find); however, I thought that shouldn’t be necessary and then tried downloading the theme and overwriting all of the files, without success.

I have tested in both Internet Explorer 11 and Google Chrome.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Devin

Do you have a link to your site? Without that, it’s hard to say why things have changed. I know that I haven’t changed any font sizes in Quark recently

    Hi Anthony,

Thank you for getting back. My site is dwcryan.com.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Please let me know if you require further info from me. I did recently update the tanslations and WordPress is at 4.5.3 now.

    Thanks,
    Devin

    Hey Devin,

Have you tried disabling all the plugins on your site? This looks like a plugin conflict to me. Hope it helps.

    Hi,

Thanks Suyogya, it was indeed a plugin conflict. It turned out to be with the
Aeolus plugin that I planned to use for my portfolio. Which seems to come down to, since I’ve been keeping WordPress updated, I’m running a version of WP above the level which the plugin supports / has been tested on so I guess theirs finally been a breaking change when coupled with this theme update anyways.

Anyone know of a quality, fully responsive, portfolio plugin that works well with the Quark theme and latest WP update?

I’ll still mark the topic as resolved, since finding a replacement is likely above and beyond.

    Thanks again,
    Devin

    Hi Devin,

    Glad you sorted it out.

As far as Gallery plugins go, take a look at Envira Gallery. It’s not a free plugin, but it works really well and has quite a few nice layouts and is quite flexible. I’ve used it myself for a number of different client sites.

Thanks for the suggestion; however, I am looking for one that is free. I did some looking around and came across Portfolio Gallery which I am in the process of testing to see if the free version will suit my needs. I don’t want to just show an image but to link to a post (is the way I’m doing it right now) or a page (the way it was before, handled by the plugin) with more images/screenshots and further details about the project.

My site is still very much a work in progress! 🙂

    Thanks again,
    Devin
