i’m guessing that as you haven’t got the website login details you probably don’t have the server login details. if you do have them by chance you can sort this via the database but if not, the best you can hope for is to try and remember the username at the very least and try the password reset feature. otherwise, your site may be lost to you… (unless any of the forum gurus know of any other sneaky ways in?)
Thank you Jack
Please could you explain – what do you mean the server log in details?
i know the hosting info and can log in there – will it show me the username and password for the WordPress site somewhere inside the Hosting info then?
if you can login into the server then you could be in luck. read this article and follow it carefully! you’ll be poking about in the database (make a back up of the database before you do anything else!) so be take your time and be careful 😀
I am trying to reset my password, through username I have put but I am not receiving any email.
I am not sure how to post a new comment so I am replying here. I am trying to reset my password but when I enter my username I am not getting an email. I can access my cPanel but I am not a programmer so haven’t been able to find a user table and don’t know if I should have wp_user table and I don’t have one. Sorry and thanks for any help. I haven’t accessed my WordPress database for a few months. If someone can tell me where I can find a list of user names I would be so grateful.

which article needs to be read before poking around the database?
I have tried every combination of username, email and passwords possible and still cannot access my site through login. I created another account to see I could get through that way and nothing. Now what?
My web hosting company is no longer and I need to access this info in order to transfer to another host.
Desparate!
