• I have just done a fresh install of wordpress on a new domain. It has installed fine, but when I wanted to make an amendment to the General Settings page it came back saying I didn’t have permission to view the page! I did some research and others suggested adding an .htaccess file. I tried this, but it is now giving me an internal error! I’ve even copied and pasted the same .htaccess file from my other blog to this one (which works fine), but still doing errors.

    Any ideas?

    Anyone?

this might not help, but I was getting 500 errors due to memory. I upped it from 32MB to 64, and no more 500 internal server errors. The error manifested by half loading general settings page (stopped at timezone, if I remember). If that’s what you get, upping your server memory allocation should help.

Thanks, although I have everything on unlimited, so it can’t be that.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

Anyone? I can’t be the only one having this problem, surely?
